IB Participants Benefit from New Coverage |

Forty-four states now require notification to individuals and/or the state of an event that may lead to a breach of data from a lost laptop/disk/CD, hacker, vendor errors, paper records, etc. A growing number of our participants accept credit card transactions or on-line giving, creating a new exposure. As a result, we have added this coverage to respond in the event of a breach.
Coverage:
Privacy Liability - Offers liability insurance for damages arising from a wrongful release of private information.
Identity Theft Services - Covers the costs to notify individuals of a release of private information, as well as the costs to provide credit-monitoring or other remediation services in the event of a covered incident.
