The Insurance Board (IB) has named John Johnson, CISSP to the position of Manager, Information Technology effective immediately.

In this position John is responsible for the planning, implementation and administration of the overall activities of the organization’s information technology systems. His focus is to provide for the development and maintenance of computer applications and technology, and the implementation of new systems and/or programs to support organizational objectives and growth.

He will be located in the Company’s corporate office in downtown Cleveland. Prior to joining the IB, John was responsible for the administration of the U-Haul Ohio Valley Wide Area Network, and he was lead of the global IT security monitoring team and lead of the global IT helpdesk team. He also developed the annual planning and scoping for the Sarbanes Oxley compliance process and implemented the successful installation of 15 new district offices which included IT equipment and an ERP system.

“John’s expertise in IT change management will align quite well with our mission and the future direction of the company,” says IB CFO, Dale Cable. John earned a master’s degree in network security from Capitol College in Maryland.

He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor and a Computer Information Systems Security Professional.
